Ray Morgan

Debra, I am so sorry to hear about Ray. I know that Ray and I were not that close, as cousins, and did not know about his death until it was too late to get to the services. I pray for God to help you through this time of great grief. May God bless you and your family.

We were shocked to hear of Ray's passing. It was always a joy to deal with him when he needed sheet metal for his many projects. He will be missed by many. One day God will shed light on tragic events like this and we will understand. You and your family are in our prayers.

Ray was such a wonderful person....he never met a stranger. He was EXCELLENT at his work and viewed it as more than just that, he saw it as an opportunity to help people. That is what he did best! The County has truly suffered an enormous loss with Ray's passing.

May God Bless Ray's family in their time of need. May he bring you strength to each of you.

We are at a loss in the Treasurer's Office. Ray was not only our co-worker, he was our friend. We always had such a good time aggravating him-as did he us. He was always here when needed even when there was so much for him to do. We appreciated his hard work. When our office recently flooded, he was going out town and changed his plans to fix our office knowing how important it was to get us back in operation. Even as the ambulance attendants were taking him to the hospital he was worried about getting the lights on for the Christmas stroll. We will never forget his sense of humor and caring ways. We will truly miss our dear friend.

Where do I start? Ray has been a part of our FAMILY for the past 12+ years. He was our "right-hand man" for maintenance and repairs at our apartments, our home, and our farm. He was always there when we needed him. We might have to call him late at night about a problem--and he would be there in minutes. He would drop what he was doing to help us. I think the biggest joy he ever experienced was HELPING OTHERS. As other guestbook comments have said, he always put himself last. He was an expert at everything--from construction to electrical, to plumbing--you name it--he knew it. We will never find another Ray Morgan in our lives--for all he did--to help others--and for that I am sad.He always had an upbeat attitude and tried to make others feel better when they were "down." We will have to treasure the memories of how he changed our lives for the better--and this is the reassurance we have--that he is in a better place than we are at present. We were so very lucky to have known him.

Thank God for Ray Morgan! Ray, you can now rest--it is well deserved. You never rested before--but now you can.

I truly cannot believe Ray is gone. I have the biggest wish just to visit with him - it's hard to realize I no longer can. I miss all the visits and talks we had when I worked at the Courthouse. He was an amazing man & worked way too hard! He always tried to please everyone and never put himself first - always last! I kept getting on to him to eat, or take a break (since his work was never 8-5) but he never would - he had way too much work to do & not enough time to do it in.


Ray was a pleaser! I know he pleased his Heavenly Father and will for eternity. Ray always did have a smile on his face and a chipper attitude. I'll never forget him putting together all my office furniture in the courtroom - while trying to take care of everyone else's needs at the same time (replacing a light bulb or whatever.) He remodeled the judge's and my office & took great pride in his workmanship! He will truly be missed!

I know I haven't seen y'all in a while, but I thought of you all often. I will miss Uncle Ray tremendously. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you as you go through this trying time. I know that he is looking down on each of you with a great big smile and will bless your lives each day.

Ray will be missed. He helpd my office out so much and always with a smile and laughter. He truly went the extra mile. With all the remodeling he has done for us-he will be remembered daily. The County Attorney's Office has lost a true friend. The family is in our prayers.

I will truly miss Ray. He was not just a co-worker, but also my friend. This crazy old Courthouse will never be the same without him.

In the 10 years that I knew Ray, he was always on the go, always headed to or from somewhere, doing something for someone else, with a smile on his face. I'll miss seeing him when I make it back home...I almost always bumped into him at least once and it always made my day better.

God must have needed a handy man...
