Obituary
Elmer Ray Morgan, Jr. was born October 13, 1959 to Elmer Ray Morgan, Sr. and Carol (Trayhan) Morgan in Orange, Texas. He was a graduate of Tomball High School. On March 14, 1986, he married Debra Stewart in Nacogdoches, Texas. Ray worked for Pierce Sheet Metal in Tomball and for Valmont, before becoming the facility maintenance manager of the Washington County Courthouse. He was a member of the Brenham State School Volunteer Service Council and the Gay Hill Volunteer Fire Department, and was a former First Responder.
Ray passed away Sunday, December 4, 2005 in Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. He was a tissue donor.
His loving family includes: wife, Debra Morgan of Brenham; sons, Jeremy Oliver of Brenham, Michael Morgan of Corpus Christi, Keith McAfee of Iraq; daughter, Amanda Morgan of Brenham; grandson, Jaiden Ware of Brenham; grandmothers, Lena Trayhan of Orange, Gertie Morgan of Vinton, Louisiana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chad and Rhonda Morgan of Houston, Brian and Carla Stell of Pasadena, Bruce and Rhonda Stell of Vinton, Louisiana; sisters and brothers-in-law; Joanna and Randy Shull of Vinton, Louisiana, Donna and Michael Tabor of New York; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Carol Todd of New Hampshire; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Karen Tass, Dan Tass, Brenda and Michael Searcy all of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 6, 2005 from 6 – 8 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 2 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Jeter officiating.
