To my loving husband Dee,
I am writing this to let you know none of us were prepared for this loss. I want you to know there will never be another to replace the life we had. We had a loving marriage of 42 years. God gave us our wonderful sons, family, and friends that we nurtured, loved, laughed with, celebrated and shed tears with for the 42 years and 16 days.
The following is for you my Darling. I’m sure I’ll remember something after this is printed but the following is what made our life together so special, all the little things. You were a loyal man to everyone and everything. Your sons were your life next to me. Your work, talents and the intelligent man you were followed. The anniversary and birthday cards for EVERY BIRTHDAY & ANNIVERSARY with all saying “ALL MY LOVE, DEEBIRD” and the last one says “Pat, this card says it really well, our life is better now than ever, I’ll always love you. LOVE, DEEBIRD 11/15/11”. The next were a few of the quirks in life that you gave to me! You were a man of being PUNCTUAL no matter what! I was the one NEVER ON TIME. You’d always come to me dressed and ready, point to your watch and say “you know we have to be there by so and so.” My reply was “we’ll get there Dee.” Next, you always were the driver and you’d say “I know we’ll get there and on TIME.” You were a man that neatly placed your laundry folded, zippers and buttons closed, and all the socks folded perfectly. No other husband I know ever did that for his wife. Yes, it meant how considerate you were to me and this is for all to know and I’ll never forget that. The many times you had my coffee there for me at my bedside. At the end of the day when I’d call and say “I’m on my way home and you’d say “when you get to the corner here call me.” You were in the drive waiting; you needed no call. You would never let me carry my purse and bags. I’d hold on to you; you’d always lead the way to the door. You’d always stay in touch during the day and let me know if ever you’d be late. When the day ended and it was time to retire I’ll always remember at bedtime when I touched your hand and you’d wrap your strong fingers around my hand.
Life only got better when the “girls” Reagan and Sarah came into the family. Then your “BabyDoll” Emma Kate and “Sugar Pie” Tommy and Cooper stole your heart!
Today was the best! We all played on the baseball field. Emma Kate and P.D. signed the pink balloon and Tommy and Cooper wrote on the blue one. We sent them on to Heaven and there you caught them. How we all cheered! Then Emma Kate, Tommy, and Cooper with P.D. ran the bases, threw the balls and we knew you were with us. We will always be yours. I will always love you.
Your loving wife
Pat McIntyre

We are truly sorry for the unexpectant loss of your loved one. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
To Harv, Matt and PD....we cannot even begin to imagine how you three must feel from the loss of a parent. We are sorry that we cannot be there with you during this time, but know that we are always a phone call away and that we are thinking and praying for all of you. There will be days when all you want to do is cry and then there will be days when all you want to do is laugh. Take your time as you suffer the loss of your father. Never forget the memories you made and the life lessons he taught you. Always know that you are loved and surrounded by so many family members and friends. Your father is in a wonderful place and will always walk beside you. God bless you and your families! We love you!!!!
