What a special lady, She could bake Italian cream cakes. 30 plus years she bakedNinja Turtle birthday cake for my Edward. My deepest condolences to family. She always spoke of someone in Navy.

I am so sorry Grandma Phyllis passed, but I am thankful she is now at peace. She was greeted by Earl and Uncle Mike and gets to spend eternity with them, happy and at peace. My condolences to Papa John and Mary Lou Nugent; I love you both dearly and I am sorry I am not there with you, but I’m keeping you in my prayers and sending support and comfort during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences on the loss of our dear Granny Phyllis. Over the years we enjoyed her humor and energetic presence. I personally will never forget how she opened up her home to us when we were caught up in the Hurricane Rita evacuation madness. After 16 long hours of being on the road, we only made it as far as Brenham from Pearland. My son was only 3 years old at the time, with asthma, and we needed to find a spot before the storm came because we couldn’t risk being without shelter and power for his nebulizer. She gave us all those things when we desperately needed them. I still remember feeling so comfortable after we settled in and watching the news with her, still not knowing what we were all in for, but we were there in it together. Over the years I enjoyed her company at family gatherings and appreciated the friendship she shared with my grandmother. We will miss her, but I know she was lovingly embraced by her special Earl and her son Mike. I imagine my grandpa was also there and that they are all sitting around a table drinking coffee and catching up! My prayers to the family who remain in this world, may you find comfort in the memories and knowledge that our souls will all find each other together again.
