Pastor William "Bill" Derrick

Pastor Derrick was such a wonderful man. We will cherish all of our Salem memories of him. He is greatly missed and our deepest sympathies to your family.

OUR SYMPATHY TO YOUR FAMILY. ALWAYS ENJOYED VISITING WITH YOUR DAD. HE MARRIED US IN 1980 AND HAVE SEEN HIM SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE LAST YEARS WHEN WE VISITED IN CARMINE.

I am very sorry to hear about Bill's passing. I only found out about it sort of third hand.I would have like to have attended the service.I was a year ahead of Bill at TLC and got to know him thru choir. You got to know everyone in the "traveling" choir very well like it or not. We rode on our bus together, ate together,practiced together and cried and laughed together. Bill almost always had a smile for you and a quick wit to make you laugh!He was a real asset to the college(that's what TLU was then) and the ministry as well. He will be missed! Grace and peace to all his family and those close to him.

I have fond memories of Bill both as a Pastor and friend (we both loved his Grandma Derrick) May special thoughts and memories bring you peace and comfort.

I have fond memories of serving on VDC teams with Pastor Bill. He will be sadly missed. Thanking God for a long life dedicated to His service.

Pastor Derrick your ministry and services at Salem Lutheran Church has been a blessing to our family for many years that we attended, may the hand of the Lord rest gently upon you and soon bring to you his promise peace, from Nathan Vercher, Judy Thompson, Chloé and myself

To the wonderful man that instilled the word of God within me, with every sermon that was spoken, & every hymn that was sung. May you rest in peace with our Heavenly Father, along side our dear brother Pastor Charles Treptow..you are dearly loved, & will truly be missed by all.

Dear Julyne and Jason along with family and friends,
We attended Salem Lutheran Church while he was our beloved pastor at this church. He touch our lives in such a special way as he did all that attended and grasped his every word during his sermons. He was such a special man and a blessing to all who had the honor of knowing him. He has received his reward and is with his Lord and savior now along with Ro and all the saints that he blessed that went before him.
May you cherish all your wonderful memories as all the members at Salem Lutheran Church will also do.

I grew up in Texas City and also moved to Brenham. My family became friends with the Derricks through our Lutheran Churches in Texas City and LaMarque. I first knew Bill through Luther League and then had the opportunity to reconnect in Brenham. He was always so friendly and always made a lasting impression on people. We were blessed to have known him and his mom.
