Pastor Mark Groves

Thank you, God, for Mark Groves. I am a vastly better person--more joy-filled, more hope-filled, more useful--than I was before Laverna Jacob invited me to Christ Lutheran. Pastor Mark led me to love God, love People and serve the World. Debbie and Pastor Mark, together, were a lesson in love. I will be forever grateful.

Debbie and family - We are so sorry to hear about Mark’s passing. This is so hard to process. He was such a great influence for Tom, myself, Kayla and Colton and was the reason we all went to church almost every Sunday when he was our Pastor at New Life. We are so sorry for your loss.

As many of us, I am still in shock over the loss of Pastor Mark. He was a very special man and great gift as a Pastor to our church. We spoke on Friday and I live by the church, so I keep looking out the window, in disbelief that he is gone. My prayers continue daily for Debbie and the rest of his family over the unexpected and sudden loss of their beloved husband/father/grandfather as they process their grief. I know their faith is strong and they understand he is at peace in Heaven. I hope they find comfort in knowing he will always be the Angel watching over them.

Pastor Mark was so good to the scouts at Christ Lutheran Church.
We are so sad that he is gone. We will all miss him very much.

Pastor Mark was wonderful with my husband’s mother Magdalene Knuppel during her hospitalization, surgery and after her stroke. Saturday he spent time with us and prayed with us because Magdalene’s death was imminent. We talked a lot and he shared his excitement about his children and grandchildren and potential travels. Sunday we texted making arrangements for Magdalene’s funeral. We were devastated to learn of his passing. May peace and understanding pass onto his family. We will keep you in our prayers. I didn’t know Pastor Mark personally but only thru my brother Butch Bugaj He had came to a gathering at their house. He was such a warm and kind person a wonderful personality May God hold you in his loving arms during this difficult time
