(Isa 25:8) . . .He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken [it].

Hope it comforts you.

MARVIN WAS ONE OF THE BEST FRIENDS I EVER HAD. WE ENJOYED THEIR COMPANY AT HOME AND THE MANY TRIPS WE TOOK TOGETHER. I ENJOYED HIS CHRISTIAN WAY OF LIFE. HE WALKED THE WALK, EVEN WHEN PLAYING 42. OUR WARMEST REGARDS GO TO THE FAMILY. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU.

Marvin Hughes Sr. was the first person I met in our neighborhood when Helen and I moved to Brenham. In fact he helped me find the owner of the lot I bought to build our home on.His cheerful personality and happy laughter will stay in our hearts forever. We share your grief at his departure from our lives, and consider ourselves blessed to have had him as our neighbor for 25 years.I have no doubt his reception into heaven will be a glorious one.

We were so sorry to hear of the loss of Great Grandpa Marvin. I remember his wonderful sense of humor and his kindness. He was an amazing man who lived a long wonderful life and had a great family.

He will have a wonderful place in all of our hearts and our sympathies go out to all of you and especially to dear sweet Myrtie.

Our sympathies to you and sorry we are not there to hug all of you! We know Grandpa is in a wonderful place that he has been looking forward to going to for a long time, heaven!
