Obituary
Lorena Winkelmann, 93 of Brenham, passed away Friday, April 4, 2008 at Bluebonnet Hills Care Center.
She was born March 24, 1915 in Washington County Texas the daughter of Henry and Ida Brauner Kelm. She was baptized May 10, 1915 at Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville by Rev. Mueller and confirmed April 13, 1930 by Rev. Paul Gogolin in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. On December 20, 1934, she was married to Reinhardt Winkelmann also by Rev. Gogolin in St. John Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Winkelmann was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: daughters and son-in-law, Margie and Travis Fischer of Burton and Betty Jean and Earl Wiesepape of Brenham; grandchildren, Glenda and Cerjio Cerda of Ledbetter and Ricky Fischer of Burton; great-grandchildren, Carissa Cerda of College Station and Carson Cerda of Ledbetter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Burney and Edna Schramme and Elsie Winkelmann all of Brenham and Selma Quebe of Katy.
Visitation with the Winkelmann family will be Sunday, April 6, 2008 from 5 until 7 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville with Rev. David Hall officiating and Sister Anne Hall assisting. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church or Hospice Brazos Valley.
