I am saddened by your loss and lifted by the love and faith Lee was known for. It was such an honor to know and work with Lee over the last 30 years. We never spoke that he didn’t update me on Sue and his children, he cherished his family. I am so grateful that he also was a man of deep faith and I know God will now hold Lee as Lee has held so many. I am most grateful for the privilege to work with Lee. May God bless his family at this time of sadness.

Sue,
We are so sorry for your loss. Lee meant so much to all the people he touched in this community. For me, I always saw Lee as a friend and mentor who I could count on to bring common sense, fairness, and a dry sense of humor to what ever the situation might be - decisions at the bank, a card game with friends, or a complicated golf bet at the club. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers as you begin doing life without this great man by your side.

The world is a brighter more cheerful place because God gave us time with Lee. His smile and presence could lift spirits in the blink of an eye. His ability to help so many and touch so many lives will be missed. It was a joy and honor to have known and experienced you, Lee! Our deepest sympathies and prayers go to your family and close network of friends for the loss of your heart and smile. You have been a blessing to so many and may the memories you made with loved ones...all who knew you bring comfort as time passes.

Bud and I treasured Lee’s friendship and the memories of our time spent with him. He got Bud involved in both of his bank start ups. We had our mutual interest in golf and lots of good natured Aggie vs. Texas bull. He was special and there will only ever be one Lee Gaskamp.

Sue and family. My heart is broken after hearing the passing of Lee. He was the best human being I have ever met. Always had a smile on his face and words of love and encouragement. I remember all the times we would play poker at the Tampke home, along with horseshoes in the back alley way. I always looked forward to the yearly family reunions to be able to see everyone. I truly love everyone and miss the great conversations. I know Lee is smiling in heaven and preparing a place for the love of his life, his wife and best friend Sue. We are left on earth to feel the greatest and deepest pain there is. With the Lord beside you along with family and friends, there will start to be a light of healing. I will shed a lot of tears and have lots of smiles when I think of him. May you Rest In Peace Lee. You left this earth way too soon. Love you always and forever.
