Sharon Beth Williford Whitaker

Sharon Beth Williford Whitaker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024, at the age of 77.

Sharon was the devoted wife of Bill Whitaker for 59 wonderful years. She is survived by their children, Dale Whitaker and his wife Delilah, Denise Whitaker Jarrell and her husband Albert, and Dana Whitaker. Sharon’s legacy continues through her seven cherished grandchildren: Hilary Diana Whitaker, Gentry Brown Jarrell, Hollis Faith Jarrell, Sean Alexander Gutierrez, Easton Dale Whitaker, Dallas William Whitaker, and Mila Marie Whitaker, as well as her great-granddaughter, Emilia Grace Castañeda.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Irma Williford.

A fervent believer and follower of Christ, Sharon’s life was a testament to her faith. Known for her compassion, kindness, and boundless love for family and friends, she lived her life with a jovial spirit and an open heart. Sharon had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life and never met a stranger. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her.

Sharon drew strength and comfort from her faith, particularly finding solace in the words of Isaiah 41:10: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

A memorial service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held on September 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Brenham's First Baptist Church, 2715 South Market Street, Brenham, Texas 77833.
