Marlene Michel

Marlene Michel, 75, of Brenham passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in Care Center of Brenham.

Marlene was born September 2, 1935 in Houston to parents James Wesley and Beatrice Linda (Wall) Cox. She was confirmed at Park Place Lutheran Church in Houston. On February 23, 1957 she married Vincent B. Michel, Jr. at Park Place Lutheran Church. She had membership at Advent Lutheran, Houston, Our Savior Lutheran, Centerville, and presently at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Brenham.

Survivors include husband Vincent B. Michel, Jr.; son Vince M. Michel and wife Page of Brenham; daughters Lori M. Bajoie and husband Byron of Aurora, CO, Loyce L. Van Hook and husband Kyle of Brenham; grandchildren Claire, Clayton, Brian, Vanessa, Maddie, Olivia, Vincent, Mitchell; great-grandchildren Paige and Wyatt; brother James Cox; sisters Charlene Moore, Linda Oelze. Also, past and present special friends include Mable McQueen, Eleanor Michel, Dorothy Lutke, Dorothy Utesch, Carol Jones, Candyce Lowery, Norma Rosentritt, Carol Ann Blum and Lawrence Piercy.

We wanted to touch, kiss, and laugh a few more times, dance a few more dances, and do a few more garage sales. But you are tired, I understand, it’s o.k. Farewell, Molly, you precious girl, my wife, my love.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4th from 6-8 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Burial will be in Houston National Cemetery.
