Obituary
Willie C. Kubeczka Jr., 79, of Brenham, Texas, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, with his beloved family by his side. Born on December 17, 1944, in Chappell Hill, Texas, Willie was the 10th of 11 children born to Willie Sr. and Agnes Kubeczka.
On November 7, 1964, Willie married the love of his life, Mary Ann Majewski. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised a family in Houston, Texas. Willie was a dedicated and hardworking man, founding WeldFit Corporation, where he built a successful business over 40 years. Upon retiring, Willie and Mary Ann settled at their cherished ranch in Brenham, Texas, where he found joy in the simple pleasures of ranch life.
Willie was a man of many passions. He loved tending to his cows, riding his tractor, and bailing hay on the ranch. He was happiest surrounded by his family and took great pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A skilled woodworker and avid gardener, Willie spent much of his time creating, building, and caring for his home and land. His sharp mind was always at work with crossword puzzles and books, and his wisdom and sense of humor were ever-present. Willie had a way of making everyone laugh, leaving those around him with fond memories and words of wisdom to carry forward.
Willie is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Mary Ann Kubeczka; daughters Brenda Annis and Sandy Stewart, along with her husband Brad; grandchildren Megan Hrebicek and her husband Justin, Cody Annis and his wife Chelsea, Shelby, Kacey, Jake, and Ryan Stewart; and great-grandchildren Vaughn and Peyton Hrebicek. He is also survived by his sisters Dorothy Haba, Mary Ann Guidry, and Rita Burke, as well as his brothers Edmund, Harry, and Johnny.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Sr. and Agnes Kubeczka; brothers Alphonse and Raymond; sisters Clara Gurney and Gertrude Swierkowski; and nephews Mark and Michael Kubeczka.
Visitation will be Friday, October 4th at 10AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 10:30AM. Funeral Mass will begin at 11AM. A reception will follow mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in Willie’s memory be made to either St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Brenham, Texas or to Latium Wesley Greenvine Volunteer Fire Department, Burton, Texas.
Willie’s legacy will live on through the love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the wisdom he imparted to those lucky enough to know him. He will be deeply missed.
