Stephen "Steve" Raymond Saunders

Stephen “Steve” Raymond Saunders, 69, of Brenham passed away October 7, 2024.

Steve was born on November 9, 1954 in Memphis, Tennessee to Raymond and Ruby (Millican) Saunders. He worked and retired as a tire technician where he owned and operated Stephen’s Tire Service for many years throughout the Houston area. He was a tire service man his entire life.

Steve had a deep love for rock music and playing pool. Whether it was through an 8-track player, vinyl albums, CDs, or most recently, digital music, he could often be found enjoying the sounds of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, or his favorite guitarist, Robin Trower. His love for music was only matched by his passion for sports and game shows. Steve could tell you anything about sports, from this century or the last, and cherished his family just as much.

Steve is survived by his children Cory Saunders of Brenham, TX, Rachel (Ryan) Lanser of Port Washington, WI, grandchildren Brittany (Sean) Arendt, Brent Saunders, Mason Lanser, Madison Lanser, and great grandchildren Olivia Arendt and Oliver Arendt, brothers Derrell (Sandra) Pike, Terrell (Teresa) Hebron, sister Linda Kay Saunders-Runyon, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service for Stephen will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 at 3:00PM at Brenham Memorial Chapel with John Schmidt officiating.
