Stanley Michalak

Stanley Michalak, age 90, of Chappell Hill, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in College Station Medical Center. Stanley was born July 11, 1919 in Chappell Hill to parents Jacob and Eleanora (Kaminski) Michalak. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. On September 30, 1939 he was married to Theresa Tomczak at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Hempstead, TX. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Stanley was a charter member of V.F.W. Post 8790 in Houston, TX. Stanley worked for Mosher Steel Company and Cooper Cameron Industries in Houston.

His parents, son David B. Michalak, great-grandchild Logan Sechelski, brothers Leon, John, Frank and Nick Michalak preceded him in death.

His loving family includes wife Theresa Tomczak Michalak of Chappell Hill; daughter Stella Sechelski; grandchildren Dr. David Michalak, Phil Sechelski, Paul Sechelski, Gena Calmes; great-grandchildren Lexi Sechelski, Elizabeth Ann Michalak; sisters Maggie Tomczak, Francis Zientek, Nancy Danna, Hedwig Mosley.

Rosary will be recited at 7 pm, Friday, April 30, 2010 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 1, 2010 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father Vincent Chacko, Celebrant. Graveside service will follow at 1 pm in Forest Park Westheimer, Houston.

Pallbearers are David Michalak, Phil Sechelski, Paul Sechelski, Allen Frank, Harold Frank and Michael Tomczak.
