Obituary
Stanley Herman Jurchak went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2012, while residing at Kruse Village in Brenham, Texas. Born on April 22, 1921, he was the son of Frank and Lola (Albert) Jurchak. He was baptized and confirmed at Welcome Lutheran Church, Welcome, Texas. Stanley attended Bellville High School where he lettered in football. He enjoyed playing baseball for the Bleiblerville Bobcats. Stanley proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Core, an aircraft carrier, in the Pacific.
Stanley lived life to the fullest with a joyful and caring heart. Growing up on his family farm and assisting with the many chores provided Stanley with the foundation for his life. In the last years, Stanley beamed with pride when driven to the family farm in Bleiblerville, where he would explain in detail where every crop was grown and every animal was housed and raised.
Stanley’s career was the grocery business, as a salesman and as an executive. Business took him from Houston to Super Foods in Chicago, to Affiliated Foods in Albuquerque where he retired. After retirement, enjoyment was found in golfing, traveling, and dancing. Sun City in Georgetown and The Meridian in Temple were wonderful retirement homes before moving back to Brenham.
Stanley was married on July 24, 1959, to his soulmate, Marjorie (Marge) Dee Gould, in Boulder, Colorado.
Survivors are step-daughter, Diane Fischer of Houston; sister, Gladys Oakley of Bellville; sister-in-law, Genevieve Michael of Colorado; brother-in-law, Jay C. Buenger of Industry; loving caregivers, nephew Dr. Bruce Buenger and his wife Cheryl and sons, Jess Buenger and fiancé, Amanda Lawler, and Justin Buenger; nephew Dr. Greg Buenger and his wife, Anneta and children, Jay and Elizabeth Buenger, Clint and Sarah Buenger and son, Jack and Kate Buenger.
