Obituary

Shirley JoAnn Vogl, 76, of Brenham, passed away Friday, July 21, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center.

She was born October 14, 1929 to Ira and Elsa Stromsoe Bone in Denver, Colorado. In December of 1946, she married George Bernard Vogl. Upon graduation from high school, she worked as a manager for several propane companies. She moved to Brenham from Colorado ten years ago. Mrs. Vogl was a member of the Red Hat Society, volunteered at the gift shop in Trinity Medical Center and in the volunteer tax program in Brenham, and mentored at Krause Elementary. She enjoyed painting, gardening, sewing, swimming, and watching hummingbirds. She touched the hearts of everyone she knew.

Mrs. Vogl is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Vogl; and brother, Don Bone.

Survivors include: son, Patrick Vogl and wife Deborah of Brenham; daughters, Linda Peachey and husband Steve of Denver, Colorado, and Diana Pulver and husband Roger of Erie, Colorado; grandchildren, Brandi Vogl, Brent Vogl, Michelle Rosenkranz, Amy Kalhoff, Nicole Crawford, Bobby Jo Stark, Pvt. Neil Pulver; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Vogl will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, July 24, 2006 at Brenham Memorial Chapel, with Minister Timothy Simms officiating. A visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service.

Additional services and burial in Colorado have not yet been set.
