Obituary
Ruby Schulze, 93, of Brenham passed away Friday, May 16, 2008 in Trinity Care Center.
She was born May 8, 1915 in Cedar Hill Community of Washington County, Texas to Fritz and Louise Klostermann Westerfeld. On June 27, 1915 she was baptized by Rev. F. Apfelbach and on April 13, 1930 she was confirmed by Rev. Paul Gogolin both in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. She attended Cedar Hill School. On January 4, 1933, she married Herbert Otto Schulze, Sr. in St. John Lutheran Church, where she remained a lifelong member. For ten years, she was employed by Modern Cleaners and then worked in direct care at Brenham State School, from where she retired. She was a member of St. John Ladies Aid where she enjoyed quilting. She loved flowers, gardening and child care for grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband Herbert O. Schulze, Sr., sons Herbert C. Schulze, Jr., Howard “Butch” Schulze, daughter Doris Kuhlmann Daniels, sons-in-law Howard Kuhlmann, Sr. and James Wiesepape, three brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include: her daughter Dorothy Ann Wiesepape; daughters-in-law Floreen Schulze and Delores Schulze; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Erna Finke; son-in-law Lloyd Daniels.
Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 19, 2008 in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill with Rev. David Hansen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are grandsons Carl Wiesepape, Craig Wiesepape, Kenneth Schulze, Joel Schulze, Scott Schulze, Jason Schulze, Dustin Schulze and Howard Kuhlmann, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters Cindy Majewski, Sharon Stolz, Susan Kuhlmann and Sabrina Schulze along with the Staff of Trinity Care Center and Hospice Brazos Valley.
Memorials may be given to the church or Hospice.
