My Uncle Gene has always been a constant in my life. I am his niece, and when all the cousins would get together, he would love to give us a "sunburn" on the arm. We would all laugh and the kids would come back for more. He was a quiet presence. He and Aunt Dorothy would always open their home for the holidays and love all of us to pieces. I loved staying in their home for sleepovers with Linda and Diane. (Except for those scorpions that would sneak into the house.)

Uncle Gene- no scorpions in heaven! We will be together for eternity again one day soon.

I love you always- Sheri

Dorothy and family: Please accept my sincere sympathy upon Gene’s passing. I worked with him at Trinity and ALWAYS enjoyed the little treats he brought. From little pies to dill pickles, Gene wanted everyone to taste his creations. He blushed as we gushed over his cooking skills!!!!
Thank you for sharing Gene with us! He brought a lot of fun and laughter to all.

We first became acquainted with Gene thru our friendship with his sister-in-law, Alice Stern. We always admired him for raising and giving a good home to four wonderful children. He was an outstanding example of what it means to be a good Christian father.
Gene was fun to be around, but never serve him a dessert containing cherries when he is playing a game of 42. He said cherries caused him to not be able to win.
Our thoughts and prayers are being sent for Dorothy and the rest of the family as they deal with this loss.
Keeping all of you in our prayers,

My first memory of Gene was of him proudly serving as greeter at our new church, Abiding Word. Always with a smile making everyone's day brighter.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Dorothy and the entire family.

With thoughts and prayers,
