Obituary
Robert “Bob” Mobley, 78 of Brenham, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2005 in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
Bob was born January 14, 1927 in Houston to Robert Lee and Bessie (Mae) Mobley. In 1943 he began his 22 year military career in the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II and Korea. He was honored with 9 battle ribbons and 11 battle stars. On May 21, 1946 he married Helen Bartniske at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Houston. Bob was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years in Ft. Worth, where he worked as a supervisor. In retirement he enjoyed various arts and crafts. Bob was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 infant sister.
Bob’s loving family includes: wife, Helen Mobley of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Norma Mobley of Keller, James and Connie Mobley of Arlington, Andy and Sue Mobley of Azle; grandchildren, Jacob Mobley, Jacqueline Harmon, Joshua, Michael, and Brittney Mobley, Joy England, Gentry Mobley; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous other close relatives.
Rosary will be recited Monday, May 16, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Bill Januszewski in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Father David Ivey as celebrant, followed by private interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gentry Mobley, Brady Ware, Ben Ware, Johnny Polka, Thomas Kaminski and Edward Meschewitz.
