Regina Dorsz Schwarze

Regina Schwarze, 87, of Brenham passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Trinity Care Center in Brenham.

Regina was born September 3, 1921 in Chappell Hill to Stanislaus and Josephine
Dorsz. She attended school in Chappell Hill and graduated from Blinn College Vocational Nursing School. For over forty years, Regina worked as a nurse at Brenham Rest Home. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Her parents, five sisters, four brothers, three infant siblings and two sons-in-law Ronnie Oelschlegel and Boyd Harris preceded her in death.

Survivors are sons Harold Joe Schwarze and wife Wauldeen, Ernest H. “Ernie” Schwarze and wife Nancy all of Brenham; daughter Patricia Harris of Tomball; grandchildren Kristie and Billy Swartz, Amy Schwarze, Landon Schwarze, Sarah Schwarze, Jason and Penny Oelschlegel, Briana and Neal Blanton; great-grandchildren Jacob and Kylie Blanton, Madelyn Oelschlegel along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Thursday, October 30 at Brenham Memorial Chapel by the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, October 31 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend David Ivey as celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jason Oelschlegel, Neal Blanton, Landon Schwarze, Mike Black, Hank Sohns and Charles Ivy.

Memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
