Obituary

Regina Ann Zientek Cegielski, age 89, of Houston, Texas, passed away to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Services will begin with visitation at the Brenham Memorial Chapel on Monday, December 2 beginning at 5 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, December 3 at 11a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill, Texas with Rev. Jozef Musiol, SDS, JCD, as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Cegielski family cemetery.

Regina was born March 17, 1924 in Washington County, Texas to Louise (Modrzejewski) and Stephen Zientek. On October 19, 1946 she married Bruno Cegielski at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. They made their home in Houston and were members of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church.

Surviving family includes her three daughters and sons-in-law; Betty & Oscar Becker, Marilyn & Steve Gaffigan, Sharon & Galen Younger; grandchildren Misti Becker Halastaras (husband Jimmy), Joshua Becker (wife Jenny), Jon Fletcher, Laura Younger, Kathryn Younger and Lee Younger; great-grandchildren Zoi , Evan & Oscar Halastaras; sister-in-law Virginia Wiseniske (husband Clemence); sister-in-law Mary Zientek & brother-in-law Franklin Roese along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband Bruno; parents; sister Theresa Roese & brothers Victor, Albine and Ike Zientek.

Pallbearers are Alfred Zientek, Larry Zientek, Ryan Faterkowski, Tommy Wiseniske, Josh Becker and Jimmy Halastaras. Honorary pallbearer is Franklin Roese.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be given to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill, Texas.
