Obituary

Pearlie Mae Dierking, 81, of New Wehdem, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at home.

Pearlie was born April 22, 1930 to parents Charlie and Almeta Ueckert Henske of New Wehdem, Texas. She was baptized on July 27, 1930 and confirmed on January 28, 1945 at St. James Lutheran Church in New Wehdem. On February 24, 1952 she was united in marriage with William Dierking, Jr., also at St. James. She was a loving homemaker and a hard-working rancher all her life.

During her youth she enjoyed playing church volleyball as well as helping with Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. She was a life long member of St. James of New Wehdem.

Pearlie spent many days and weekends cooking and baking for her family and many friends in her home. She was never idle, spending her days in the hay fields, working and feeding cattle and enjoying, nurturing and caring for a variety of God’s creatures. She also spent many evenings playing dominos with family and friends. Another absolute joy and love in her life through the years was her grandchildren whom she adored. She spent many long hours loving and caring for them and they loved her dearly; and she loved seeing her great granddaughter.

Pearlie was a joy to be with and she was a very kind, gentle, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, who put the well being of others first. She was an angel to us and we will love and miss her dearly; and we will miss her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes that would light up in our presence. She will forever be in our hearts and our loving angel.

Her parents; brother Lee Charles Henske and brother-in-law Lonnie Dannhaus preceded Pearlie in death.

Survivors include her loving family husband William Dierking, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law Larry D. and Sally Dierking; daughters and sons-in-law Cheryl and Dr. Bruce C. Buenger, Donna and Glenn Huebner; grandchildren Marc T. Dierking and wife Brooke, Laurel D. Dierking, Jess Buenger and Justin Buenger, Garrett Huebner and Gene Huebner; great-grandchild Paisley Dierking; sister Dorothy Dannhaus; sister-in-law Ellen Henske; brother-in-law Clarence and wife Betty Dierking along with numerous nieces and nephews.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Pastor Jill for her many visits and prayers over the years, and for the care and kindness shown Pearlie by Doctors Bosse, Wigley, Aguilar and their staffs; AMA Home Health Care- especially Brandi and the late Lois Chutz; her loving caregivers Judy, Betty, Chic, Anna, Jonne’ and Tiffany; and for all the phone calls, cards, visits, prayers, food and other acts of kindness shown.

Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 pm, Friday, December 16, 2011 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services are being held at 3 pm, Saturday, December 17, 2011 in St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem with Pastor Jill Vivroux officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
