Obituary

Patsy Bednar Parker passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at her home in the Latium Community.

She was born December 3, 1952 to Richard and Martha (Borowicz) Bednar in Brenham. Patsy was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. She was a graduate of Brenham High School. On October 23, 1971, she married Lebon Parker in St. John’s Catholic Church of Fayetteville. Patsy was employed with Beaumier Iron Works, National Rig Lights and later was co-owner of Industrial Rig Lighting.

Patsy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Latium and served as a Eucharistic minister. She was a strong supporter of Washington County Fair youth. Patsy enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and loved her tractor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brothers-in-law Barbara and Bill Paskie, Delores Bednar and Lee Quinn.

Survivors include husband Lebon Parker of Latium, twin sons and their spouses Olin and Rachel Parker of Grain Valley, Missouri and Grant and Shelby Parker of Latium, granddaughter Presley Raye Parker, who affectionately called her MiMi Parker, and soon to be grandchild Kolbie Fay Parker, sisters and brother-in-law Clara Quinn of Chappell Hill, Frances and Leon Konieczny of Brenham, numerous aunts, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, August 3 from 5-7 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 4 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Latium with celebrants Father Ben Mazurkiewicz, Father Ed Kucera, Jr. and Deacon Stephen Borowicz. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donald Bednar, Curtis Konieczny, Marion Lipinski, Tommy Matthews, Mike Mitchell, Junior Parker, Doug Thomason, Daniel Vierus and honorary pallbearers Rena and Don Abel, Tom and Caroline Fillion, Al and Donna Kunkel, Debbie Mitchell, Valeria Mueller, Ray and Theresa Rodenbeck, Lee Fred and Barbara Schroeder and Cindy Shirley.
