Obituary
Patrick Royall Elliott, Sr., 82, of Brenham passed away December 22, 2024.
Patrick Elliott was born on September 16, 1942, in Houston, Texas, to Drew and Janice (Hooks) Elliott. He graduated from Jesse H. Jones High School and later attended the University of Houston. Patrick served his country as a U.S. Marine. After his military service, he held the position of vice president at a welding company before transitioning to a career as an airline pilot. He eventually retired from United Airlines (formerly Continental Airlines) after a fulfilling career in aviation.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Patrick lived a life grounded in faith and service. He had a deep love for the outdoors, often enjoying hunting and fishing along the Texas Gulf Coast. His passion for aviation extended to flying WWII for airshows and living history displays as part of the Gulf Coast Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, especially the B-17 bomber, Texas Raiders. Hobbies that brought him great joy included singing and being a dancing instructor. In addition to his many pursuits, he once managed his own buffalo ranch.
He is preceded in death by parents and brother Michael D. Elliott.
Left to cherish memories of him are his son Patrick Elliott, Jr. and daughter-in-law Josalyn; sisters Karen and husband Jerry Smith, Janell Elliott Ross and husband Richard Black.
