Michael Jean Fontenot

Michael Jean Fontenot, 55 of Brenham and formerly of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2005 at his home.

He was born August 9, 1949 to Jean Andrew and Mazie (Coleman) Fontenot in Ville Platte, Louisiana. On August 20, 1949 he was baptized in Sacred Heart Church in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Michael was also a graduate of Ville Platte High School. He was self-employed in trucking as a hotshot driver.

Survivors include a son Deryck Andrew Fontenot and wife Ruthie Aline of Lake Charles, Louisiana, daughter Laura Lynnette Fontenot and special friend ReGina Ann Hernandez of Brenham; step-daughter Charlene Davidson of Brenham; 13 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.

Viewing will begin in Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, Louisiana Saturday, July 9, 2005 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. when rosary will be recited.

His daughter would especially like to thank Dr. Donna Canney, Gambro and Hospice for their attention and care.
