Mary Zientek Januszewski

Mary Januszewski 75 of Brenham died Saturday, July 23, 2005 in St. Joseph Regional Health Center, Bryan.

She was born April 8, 1930 in Brenham to John and Frances (Bilski) Zientek. Mary was educated in St. Mary’s Parochial School and St. Francis Hospital of Brenham nursing program. For more than 40 years, she was worked as a licensed vocational nurse at St. Jude Hospital and Trinity Medical Center. On October 22, 1960, she was married to Stanley Januszewski by Msgr. Stanley Zientek in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a life long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and also active in civic affairs.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Stanley on July 2, 1997.

Survivors include: son Mark Januszewski and wife Jennifer of Brenham; daughters Catherine Newsom and husband Steve of Katy, Cynthia Longhofer and husband John of Brenham, Patricia Januszewski of Plano; grandchildren Kyle, Ryan and Dale Januszewski, Mary Kate and Schuyler Newsom, Garrett and Anna Longhofer; brothers and sisters-in-law Stanley Zientek of Whitney, Alois and Regina Zientek of Brenham, Julian and Delia Zientek of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Msgr. Benedict Zientek of Brenham, Msgr. Boleslaus Zientek of LaPorte; sister Sophie Zientek of Brenham; numerous other relatives.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 25, 2005 from 6 – 8 p.m. with rosary recited at 7 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 11a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Benedict Zientek and Msgr. Boleslaus Zientek as celebrants.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Zientek, David Majewski, Mike Addicks, Kyle Januszewski, Ryan Januszewski, Otto Bilski, Paul Bilski, Pat Majewski.

Memorials suggested to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Trinity Health Services Foundation or charity of choice.
