Obituary
Miss Mabel Madgelene Stolz, age 89, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Brenham Rest Home.
The daughter of Julius Ceasar Stolz and Lena (Meyer) Stolz, was born at parent’s home in Cedar Hill Community of Washington County on May 23, 1919. On September 25, 1919 she was baptized in her parent’s home by Rev. F. Grueber and confirmed April 14, 1935 by Rev. Paul Gogolin in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill, where she remained a life-long member. She lived with her parents and raised cattle for her occupation until later when she moved to Brenham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Georgia Mae Bentke, brother-in-law Willie “Bill” Bentke, nephew Robert Walker and special cousin Herbert Boehnemann.
Her survivors include niece Elizabeth Walker; great nieces Tammy and Nick Degregoria, Rachel and Leroy Blankenburg; great-great nieces and nephews, special cousins Johnnie Mae Boehnemann and Johanna Herron; special friends Roger and Mary Lou Winkelmann and other cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Brenham Rest Home for their care and service given Mabel during her stay.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 6 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2008 in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Hansen officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roger Winkelmann, Charles Kuecker, Gary Schulze, James Richter, Roy Boehnemann and Albert Linke. Honorary pallbearers are John Muegge, Donald Herron and Joan Herron Nilsen.
Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill Memorial Fund.
