Obituary
Louise “Sugar Lump” Klussmann age 88 of Brenham passed away Friday, December 21, 2007 in Trinity Medical Center.
Miss Klussmann was born June 1, 1919 in the William Penn Community of Washington County to Henry and Emma Boenker Klussmann. She attended William Penn School. She was baptized on June 9, 1919 and confirmed March 2, 1934 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn where she remained a life long member, having been an associate member of LWML and formerly taught Sunday school and was a choir member. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards. Family gatherings were special to her, especially at Christmas.
Her parents, brothers, sisters and spouses Gus and Gertrude Mutscher, Willie F. and Gertrude Klussmann, Henry Klussmann, Jr., Rosie and Robert Lenz and Herman Mertins preceded her in death.
Survivors include brother and sister-in-law Herbert and Meta Mutscher of Brenham; sister Lydia Mertins of Brenham; nieces and nephews Goeke and Jo Ann Mutscher, Gus Mutscher, Betty and Fred Boecker, Margie and Herbert Foelber, Rose Marie Prenzler, Kenneth and Sarita Mutscher, Carolyn and Wayne Kuenstler, Robert Edward and Dottie Lenz, Don and Linda Lenz, Grace and Willie Kankel, Carl Mertins, Lester and Sandra Mertins
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2007 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn with Rev. Jeffrey King officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Willie Kankel, Carl Mertins, Lester Mertins, Kenneth Mutscher, Wayne Kuenstler, Don Prenzler, Don Lenz, Robert Edward Lenz, Gus Mutscher, Goeke Mutscher, Fred Boecker and Herbert Foelber.
Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
