Loretta Frances Edwards

Loretta Frances Edwards was born August 25, 1940 in Rockville, Maryland to Irven Wade and Gladys Lorianne Smith. She was raised in Oliver Beach, Maryland. She graduated from Kenwood High School in Essex, Maryland.

She met and married George Edwards on July 25, 1959. She was blessed with a daughter, Kimberly, and a son, George Jr.

Loretta was a homemaker. All of her adult life she loved her family, home, all of her animals, and most of all God. She gave thanks every day to God for all her blessings. She always taught that the greatest gift God gave us all was family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys (Wicker) Evans, father Irven Smith, Sr., brother, Irven Wade Smith Jr. and sister Virginia Kirkham.

She is survived by her husband George Edwards Sr., daughter Kimberly Cordova, son George Edwards Jr., granddaughter Holly Cordova, grandsons George Edwards III, Matthew Cordova, and Christian Edwards, daughter-in-law Staci Edwards, son-in-law Max Cordova, sister Evelyn McIntosh, brother-in-law Bob McIntosh; 17 nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dale Chance officiating.
