Obituary
Lessie Mae Key, a longtime resident of San Jacinto County, was called to the Lord on January 16, 2024. Lessie was born on March 31, 1935 in Holly Grove, Arkansas to James Monroe and Tula Key.
She is preceded in death by husbands Robert Dale Kimball and Douglas Hale; brothers Vordia, Leo, James and sister Betty Ceaser; and daughters Patty Kimball Long, Curry Beth Kimball, son Dave Hale and granddaughter Lessie Leann Dunbar.
She is survived by brother Thomas; sisters Alice Zak and Quannah (Connie) Finger. Lessie is also survived by her daughter Peggy Kimball Struble and son James Leighton Hale; grandchildren Anna Martin, Toni Maggiano, James Dalton Shirley, Christopher Hale, Kyleigh Hale, Mariah Hale; numerous great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The family will hold private graveside services near Shepherd Texas at a date to be determined.
