Leonard Steve Nowak

Leonard Steve Nowak, 70 of Chappell Hill, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007 in Trinity Care Center.

He was born November 6, 1936 to Steve and Theresa Kwiatkowski Nowak in Chappell Hill. He attended St. Stanislaus Catholic School. On November 17, 1956, he married Gertrude Pavloske in Holy Name Catholic Church, Houston. Mr. Nowak was employed by American Porcelain and later by Texas Bolt Company from where he retired in 1994.
He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, KJT and 50+ Club.

His parents Steve and Theresa Nowak and brothers-in-law Bennie Faterkowski and Vernon Sander preceded him in death.

Survivors include: wife, Gertrude Nowak of Chappell Hill; daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Marvin Gurka, Patricia and Thomas Gregory all of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, David and Judy Nowak of Houston; grandchildren, Kevin Gregory, Chris Gurka, Michael Gurka, Matthew Gregory, Madison Nowak, Allison Bliss; sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret Faterkowski of Chappell Hill, Pauline and Alton Jacobs of Brenham.

Rosary will be recited this evening at 7 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel by Monsignor Benedict Zientek.

Mass will be Tuesday, May 15 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Monsignor Benedict Zientek as celebrant. Committal service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Resthaven Cemetery, Houston. Pallbearers will be Kevin Gregory, Chris Gurka, Michael Gurka, Matthew Gregory, Daniel Faterkowski and Brian Sebesta. Honorary pallbearers are Ike Brzymialkwitz and Alton Jacobs.
