Lenora S. Runge

Lenora S. Runge, 99, of Brenham passed away Monday, October 30, 2006 at Brenham Rest Home.

Lenora was born March 2, 1907 in the Salem Community of Washington County to F. William and Malinda (Schutte) Rosenbaum. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church of Salem and on November 29, 1931 she married William H. “Bill” Runge in the same church where she remained a life long member.

Mrs. Runge is preceded in death by her husband William H. Runge on December 18, 1983; brothers Willie Rosenbaum and LeRoy Rosenbaum and sister Erna Tegeler.

Her survivors are daughter Ann Blades of Brenham; sister Verlin Hafer of Dallas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 31, 2006 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Salem Lutheran Church of Salem with Rev. Charles Parnell officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Mrs. Runge enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, gardening and flowers.

Pallbeares will be Daniel Runge, Elwood Runge, Alan Runge, Timothy Hafer, Gerald Tegeler and Raymond Miller.
