Ken was a great friend and fellow cyclist. He was full of wisdom and had a great sense of humor. Ken lived life with passion, and I will always remember him. Long rides were made easier when riding with someone like Ken.
My thoughts are with you Linda and your family.

I, too, remember the Newton family when my two kids were also in BHS Band at the same time. Alex and Matt were talented in the musical area. Ken and Linda were the nicest people and so knowledgeable in just about any subject.
I remember one Fall day all of our children were assigned to audition for a UIL competition in an area Katy(?) High school.....I handed the Suburban keys to Ken to lead the way as I wasn't sure of the route. That was a great trip, getting to know each of them.
Memories like that stay with a person for a long time.
Linda, hold onto all of those memories you and Ken shared....that's the one constant area that won't change. Your life will change drastically in a lot of ways (been there; done that for the past 2+ years). will say a prayer for your entire family......

Dear Linda and Family,
I was saddened to hear of Ken's passing. My most sincere condolences to you all.
I have wonderful memories of riding with Ken as part of our cycling group when I lived in Brenham. He was a truly good guy, and it was a pleasure to share so many miles and adventures with him.
May you all feel the strength, love and healing from those near and afar.

When Jesus preached His well-known discourse known as The Sermon on the Mount, He said in Matthew 5:5 "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth." Ken was the epitome of meekness. He didn't toot his own horn, he just quietly lived out his values. Some equate meekness with weakness, but a better definition is "strength under control".
May the God of all comfort give you peace in the loss of your strong loved one.
