Keith A. Bartels

Keith A. Bartels, 30, of the Shelby Community passed away at home Tuesday, February 6, 2007 in the loving care of his parents.

Keith was born April 15, 1976 in Houston to Royce and Barbara Blackman Bartels. He was baptized on August 22, 1976 by Rev. John Kueker and confirmed on October 25, 1992 by Rev. Robert Braun at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby. Keith attended West End Elementary School and was a 1995 graduate of Bellville High School. He was employed by Tegeler Chevrolet in Industry and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby.

His grandparents Adolph and Josephine Bartels and James Blackman preceded him in death.

Keith is survived by his loving family; parents Royce and Barbara Bartels of Shelby; grandmother Gertrude Blackman of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law Erika and Hugo Guerrero of Shelby; nephew Ryan Guerrero; niece Haley Guerrero and other relatives along with caregivers Willie Mae Wagner, Robert Klingsporn, Barbara Jean Smith and numerous friends in the Shelby and Industry Communities.

The family will receive guests from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 9, 2007 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby. Pastor Pam Werrell will officiate. Interment will follow in the Shelby Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bryan McKee, Ryan Winkelmann, Lance Lehde, John Gajeske, Dane Elliott and Kris Bartels.
