Joseph Alan Garner

Alan Garner, 44 of Brenham, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2005 at the home of his father.

Alan was born January 15, 1961 in Pasadena, Texas to William J. Jr. and Ginny (Jones) Garner. He was employed as an aide at Brenham State School and enjoyed landscaping and working in his father’s auto body shop.

Survivors include: parents, Ginny Garner of Brenham, William “Bill” Garner, Jr. and his wife Martha of Chappell Hill; daughter, Amber Garner of Farmington, Missouri; brothers, Timothy Garner of Chappell Hill and Christopher Garner of Huntsville; his partner Arlene Young, her children and grandchildren.

Alan was preceded in death by brother, William Garner III, and aunts, Mary Louise Compton and Lela Matthews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 15 from noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Bob Grigg officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery, Chappell Hill.
