John Phillips

John Phillips, 61, passed from this earth to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. He fought gallantly in his war against mesothelioma.

John was born in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Waltrip High School and Steven F. Austin State University. His work career began at Houston Lighting & Power then to Brown & Root in the computer department. He continued working in the I.T. department for 15 years with the Sisters of Charity Health Systems (Christus). For the past 16 years, John has worked for St. Joseph Regional Health Systems in Bryan, Texas.

His family, Denise, Chelsea & Jonathan, and Ryan & Mindy, wishes to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude for all the prayers, support, and kindness given to them over the past 3 years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to CASA for Kids or Camp for All.

John will be cremated with a celebration of his life at a later date.
