Jimmie R. Hrachovy

Jimmie R. Hrachovy of Brenham, age 75 passed away November 6, 2024.

He was born November 26, 1948 in Crosby, Texas to Jim and Viola (Zapalac) Hrachovy. As a kid he picked a lot of cotton in the fields. He enjoyed fishing and spending time in the outdoors. Jimmie served in the U.S. Army. After 49 years of working at Brenham Wholesale, he retired.

He is survived by his sons Jason Hrachovy and twins Joshua and Jordan Hrachovy; sisters Kathy Svoboda and husband Mike of Ellinger, Texas, Pat Mascheck and husband Bernard of Fayetteville, Texas; brother Lawrence Hrachovy and wife Cindy of Palacios, Texas.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 815 St. Mary’s Church Road, Fayetteville, Texas 78940. A rosary will be recited at 6:00pm. A private burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery of Hostyn Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Brenham, St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Hostyn Hill/Ellinger, Ellinger and Fayetteville Fire Departments or charity of choice.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the nurses and staff of Columbus Oaks Healthcare Community and Hospice Brazos Valley for the compassionate care that was shown to Jimmie and his family.
