Obituary

Clemon James "Jim" Armstrong, 91, passed away on June 5, 2023. Jim was born on March 12, 1932 in Hardy, Arkansas to Isaac and Lizzie Armstrong.

Jim graduated from high school in Modesto, California. After graduation he joined the Army and proudly served his country in the Korean War. When he was discharged from the Army he went to work for Sahara in Lake Tahoe, California where he was a stage production manager and built sets for stars such as, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, The Rat Pack and others. This is also where he met his wife Virginia and they built a life together and eventually settled down in Industry, Texas. Jim was an avid hunter, fisherman and a hard worker. He owned his own business and built custom cabinets. Jim LOVED to tell stories and he had LOTS of stories to tell!

Jim is preceded in death by his loving wife Virginia, his son Jim and his four siblings. He is survived by his children, Debbie, Dan (Linda), Tim (Jackie) and Todd Armstrong; his daughter in law, Carolyn; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Jim will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel located at 2300 Stringer Street, Brenham, Texas. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Brenham Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Industry.
