My sympathies to the family of my friend Herbert Rust. We became friends during our 1st Grade Class at Alamo School. Herbert was truly a good guy.

Dear Rust Family, I’m saddened to hear about Herbert’s passing. I will miss running into him & visiting at Texas Seafood Restaurant. We always seemed to be there at the same time. I know you will miss him terribly but I also know that he missed his beloved, beautiful Joyce so much. May God give you all peace in knowing that they are together once again & comfort for the difficult days ahead.

We extend our sympathy. We have decades of memories flooding back...I met Herbert in 1962 at the Lutheran Camp Chrysalis in Kerrville; Roger has business memories through the years. May it comfort you to know that we care, and keep you in prayer, as you mourn. Cherish your memories and continue his legacy.

I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed my many conversations with Mr. Rust(Herbert). He always fussed when I called him Mr. Rust. LOL. He said that was too formal. I will miss seeing him and hearing his stories. May you and your family find comfort that he is with our Lord and Savior!

To the family of Herbert, the words of his obituary were truly correct in the work ethics he displaced to young men working for him. Baseball players learned to how roof a house. Rest in peace your work on earth is done.

My condolences to the family. Your dad was a nice person. He was a very fair business man. Enjoyed visiting with him when they put a new roof on my house. He could really make ya laugh with his jokes. May he rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear this. Herbert was a friend of mine for a long time. He was one of my favorite coffee guys when I managed Buccaneer Food Store. He will be missed by all.
