George "Bob" Burch - Guestbook

Nancy and family: What can you say about Bob? He was just Bob!!! He marched to the beat of his own drum and enjoyed Mother Nature to the fullest. He was one of THE best story tellers around and never missed the opportunity to share a story or two with a child. Kids adored him! He was one of THE most unique people around and was ALWAYS just BOB, no strings attached. He will be greatly missed. He loved fiercely and left this world with all of you in his heart.

Levi and Family,

Our loving condolences!

I will always consider Bob as my brother in law!
I cherish the memories of our youth and the time spent as a family with Bob - we all enjoyed being around him!
He had a great sense of humor, beautiful smile and an infectious
laugh! I remember all of the sports challenges between us in
our younger years! I remember standing at the fences watching
Bob worked the horses. I especially remember Bob holding my beautiful nephew, Levi - when he was a baby - watching their beautiful blue eyes!
Happy times!
Donna and I talk often about the day a few years back when we were driving through Brenham and saw Bob sitting on his front porch.
We stopped and had the best “porch” visit with him! We all laughed and shared stories for a couple of hours - you were Always so easy to talk to - a memory I still cherish today!
We love Bob and the entire Burch family. We are with you
all in heart and prayer. You are and will be missed sweet Bob

Dear Nancy and family, Ever since yesterday, when I read that Bob had died, he's been on my mind. I'll always remember his distinctive voice. Bob and I knew each other since we were 5 yrs old. He treated people with dignity and respect and yet he still called a "spade a spade". You never had to wonder where Bob stood. His support of me with my personal struggles against my alcohol and drug addiction was invaluable in gaining freedom. When Jehovah God gives this precious man his resurrection I hope to be there to welcome him back to the "Real Life! Our love and deepest condolences. Jimmy

So sorry to hear about the passing of Bob. Any time we were in town and ran in to him, he always had a smile on his face, a hug for both of us, and a funny story followed up by his infectious laugh. We sure will miss him. Hugs to all of his family!

I haven't seen Bob in years, but I was so sad to read of his passing. I just remember the beautiful boy with the clear blue eyes who was always sweet to me when we were growing up. I'm so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.

Bob and I were founding members of the Washington county 4-H horse club. And that is where he and I became really good friends during high school. We both went out for football our freshman year in high school but figured out pretty quick that we should probably stick with horses. Lots of memories of him and his dad down at the rodeo arena at the fairgrounds. It is those memories that make me look back and smile. I don’t think I ever saw him mad at anybody.

Prayers for his family and friends during this difficult time. May his memory bring smiles to all of you as well.

So very sorry to hear about Bob. I first met him when he shoed horses, his Dad gave me one of the family horses, Whisky. The Burch family was so kind. I know Bob is up celebrating with his parents. Sending prayers for all those still on Earth.
