Fred Price

Fred Price, 72 of Brenham, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 in Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center.

He was born December 30, 1940 in Brenham to Roy and Edna (Koester) Price. Fred was baptized and confirmed in Salem Lutheran Church of Salem. He was a 1959 graduate of Brenham High School. On March 26, 1977, he married Sylvia Ann Bowen. He was self-employed and worked in farming, bulldozing, construction, and doing mechanic work. Collecting and rebuilding antique tractors was his enjoyment. He also took pride in his toy tractor collection.

His parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Mabel (King) Bowen and brother-in-law, Daniel Dierking preceded him in death.

Survivors include: wife, Sylvia Price; sister, Marilyn Dierking; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beverly and Glen Hill; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and pet dog Bitzy.

Visitation will be Monday, March 18th from 6- 8 p.m. and funeral service will be Tuesday, March 19th at 10 a.m. both in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Pastor Charles Parnell will officiate the service.

Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trent Dierking, Todd Dierking, Dan Reynolds, Ben Bolcerek, Rayburn Klussmann, Mike Antkowiak, Floyd Beal, and Oscar Slovacek. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Stark, Monroe Stark, Bill Graham, Melvin Beal, Leslie Behrens, Gary Fritch, Dewayne Lange; all employees of, Jimmy Hahn, Inc., Brenham Ready Mix, Inc., and Coufal- Prater Equipment, Ltd.

Memorials are requested to Salem and Bleiblerville Fire Departments.
