Florence Nowicki Gibson

Florence Agnes Gibson, age 72, of Brenham passed away Wednesday February 22, 2006 at her home.

She was born March 13, 1933 in Brenham to William J. and Mary Gertrude Kenjura Nowicki. On July 25, 1970 she married James Gibson. Mrs. Gibson was employed as a weaver at the Brenham Cotton Mill for many years. She later worked in the cafeteria at Blinn College, from where she retired.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Josephine Hughey; brothers, Clement Nowicki and Daniel Nowicki.

Mrs. Gibson is survived by her husband of 35 years, James Gibson; brother, William J. “Bill” Nowicki, Jr. and wife Shirley; sister, Dorothy Nowicki; nieces and nephews, Donna and Tim Culliver, Rhonda and Mike Stephens all of Brenham, Audrey and Tommy Murray of College Station; Ronald and Deidra Heintz of CyFair, Michael and Andrea Nowicki of Brenham.

The Gibson family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2006 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2006 in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Mr. Mike Habermehl officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Tim Culliver, Michael Nowicki, Michael Stephens, Ronald Heintz, Andrew Culliver, and Tommy Murray.
