Emory Leroy Rice

Emory Leroy Rice, 59, of Brenham, TX passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Brenham Scott and White Medical Center.

Emory enjoyed gardening and fishing; took pride in his work, and was even more proud of his family (which included his dogs and chickens).

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at his sister’s home in Bryan at 2pm. (For more information call or text979-530-5826 or 972-955-4942)

Emory was preceded in death by his parents David and Ethel Rice, a daughter Jessie Rice, brothers Jimmy and Richard Rice, and two sisters Nancy Carvin and Nettie Mikeska. Emory is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dorothy Rice, two daughter’s Joanna Rice and Jeana Bartkowiak, three granddaughters Tori, Taylor, and Erin, all of Brenham; a sister Lisa Timmons of Ohio; and a sister Nita and husband Henry Taylor of Bryan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel.
