Dear Eloise,
It was with a great sense of loss when we heard of Elwood's death Friday morning.
We wanted to let you know that you have our greatest sympathy, and our hearts are truly saddened.
Elwood was more then just a wonderful person and we always enjoyed talking with him at the two family reunions we tried to attend every year.
We know his passing will always leave a void in life in general and will include him in our prayers.

I haven't known the family for very long but I know the world lost a good man. My heart and prayers go out to Eloise. The love they had for each other is the kind of love I hope my husband & I will have in our later years, so loving and humorous. I know he is resting in peace now and I am vey sorry for your lost.
