Elsa Lozano Marth

Elsa Lozano Marth, 53, of Carmine passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 at her residence.

Elsa was born July 27, 1953 in Alice, Texas to Jose and Delia Castillano Lozano. She graduated from Somerville High School. On June 24, 1972, she married Ralph W. Marth in Somerville. She was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine. Her interests include artistry, crafts, fishing and cooking, especially tamales and pies.

Her parents and brother Jose Lozano, Jr. preceded her in death.

Survivors include husband Ralph “Butch” Marth of Carmine; stepfather Toney “Clarence” Mantey, Sr. of Somerville; children Tiffani Brooks and husband Toby of Carmine, Brandon Marth and wife Kristie of Brenham, Samantha Marth of Carmine; grandchildren Tori and Tana Brooks, Emma Marth, Tyler and Austen Marth; brothers and sisters-in-law David Lozano of Somerville, Toney “Sonny” Mantey, Jr. and wife Renee of Somerville and Julie Lozano of Premont.

Visitation with the family is from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2007 in Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Carmine with Rev. Paul Bohot officiating. Burial will follow in Carmine Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Gilbert Huerta, Mario Huerta, Jaime Huerta, Randy Brinkman, Charlie Adamcik and Larry Moreno.

Memorials suggested to Martin Luther Lutheran Church or American Diabetes Association.
