Elma Dale “Teeny” (Fox) Luetge

Elma Dale “Teeny” “Oma” Fox Luetge, 81 of Shelby and widow of Otis B. Luetge, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009, at St. Marks Medical Center in La Grange.

Elma was born December 29, 1927 in Thornton, Texas to Calvin H. and Ollie Howell Fox. She attended Thornton High School and was employed by Anderson Clayton as a keypunch operator. On April 14, 1951, she married Otis B. Luetge. Mrs. Luetge was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church of Shelby, the Shelby VFD, Harmonie Hall of Shelby, a 50 + year member of the Sons of Herman and a faithful member of the Fathers and Sons Wives. Elma Dale was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Her warm smile and twinkling blue eyes will live in our hearts forever.

Her husband; parents; infant siblings; brothers, J.C. Fox and wife Lorraine, Don Fox; sisters, Rosie Mae Henderson and husband Melvin, Laehler George and husband Freck, Esther Taft and husband “Taft”, Ivy Doughtie, Wreathy Fox; brothers-in-law, Lester Luetge, Milton Luetge and wife May, Raymond Brinkmeyer Sr. and Bill Stark; sister-in-law, Mercedes Jumper; niece, Marie McBride; nephews, Ronnie Oakes and Raymond Brinkmeyer Jr. preceded her in death.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Branch C. and Theresa Erdelt Luetge of Bellville; daughter and son-in-law, LouAnn and Mike Albers of Waldeck; grandchildren, Courtney Monique and special friend Milton, Madison Leigh, and Zachary Ben; brother and sister-in-law, Forrest Lynn and Judy Fox of Snyder, Texas; sister-in-law Mary Lou Fox of Jacksonville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harris and Doris Luetge or Houston; sisters-in-law, Waldine Brinkmeyer of Brenham, Virginia Stark of Bleiberville, and Nora Dell Luetge of Industry; goddaughter, Serena Krueger; along with numerous nieces and nephews; and very special helping hands Henry and Josephina Ortiz.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 24th at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 25th at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby. Rev. Willie Rotter and Rev. Linda Mosley will officiate. A graveside service will be follow at Shelby Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Rocky Luetge, Matt Robertson, John Fox, David Fox, Ricky Jody, and Michael Doughtie. Honorary pallbearers are her beloved grandchildren, godchild, Serena Krueger, nieces, nephews, and Henry and Josephina Ortiz.
