You were a true friend indeed. We have many fond memories of talking over all the world's problems. And you always had an answer. We love you. Rest in peace and God speed.

I knew Ed through our memberships in the Houston Gun Collectors Association; love of history, and especially the history of guns. His intelligence and humor were missed when he stopped making the drive to our meetings. I learned a lot and laughed a lot - due to Ed. My sympathy to his family on their loss, and to all the thousands of people, who like me, had their lives made better by Ed. His life was a blessing.

Mr. Smith was larger than life in personality and stature. He was an iconic figure in Chappell Hill and did many good things for our community. Mr. Smith will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace Mr. Smith.
