Obituary
Edmund William Blumenthal (Bill) passed away Thursday, February 19, 2004. He was born in Galveston on April 21, 1925. At the age of six he moved to Houston and grew up in West University. Bill was a veteran of WW II. He was stationed in Europe and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He attended the University of Houston, graduating with an engineering degree. For 30 years he was an employee of Reed Tool Company in Houston. He retired and moved to Brenham in 1980.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jean Theresa Blumenthal.
He is survived by his children Bill Blumenthal, Jeanell Love and husband Ron Sweeten, Harry Blumenthal and wife Donna. Bill has two grandchildren Arin Love and William Blumenthal.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 6, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Father Curt Lanzrath officiating.
Honorary pallbearers include Tony Scardino, Fred Rau, Tom Pitts, John Garnett, Jimmy Sommerfield, James Sommerfield, Walter Irvin and George Bauer.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to The Multiple Sclerosis Society or Brenham Hospice.
