Obituary

Edmund Charles Ogrodowicz, age 81, of Brenham passed away February 18, 2025, at his home in Brenham with his children by his side.

Edmund was born in Brenham, Texas to the late Bruno John Ogrodowicz & Veronica Louise Urbaniak. He was the youngest of 10 children. At the age of 5, Edmund moved with his parents from the cotton farm in Brenham to the big city of Houston where he had an all-American childhood. Edmund graduated from St. Thomas High School in Houston and then went on to serve 4 years in the Air Force stationed in Idaho and in Alaska.
Edmund continued with his servant heart in the Houston Fire Department, then Tomball Fire Department and then retired for good as a Fire Marshall for Harris County.

Edmund is preceded in death by his parents, Bruno & Veronica Ogrodowicz and siblings, Stephen, Anna Mary, Sophie Theresa, Theodore Frank, Joseph Steve, Mary Elizabeth, Julia Barbara, Bruno Alouis, and Stephanie Marie.

Edmund is survived by daughter Sheri Lynette Dibble; son Jason Alan Ogrodowicz and wife Catherine; Grandchildren Jordan Scott Dibble; Emily Jean Mundt and husband Dalton; Kari Anne Pew and husband Daniel; Chloe Anne Ogrodowicz; Lindsie Rebekah Chandler and husband Lane; Haley Nicole Clark; Bella Elaine Ogrodowicz; Lily Mae Ogrodowicz; and Owen Daniel Ogrodowicz.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 10:00 at Brenham Memorial Chapel in Brenham, Texas.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Firefighter’s Foundation of Houston, Fire Fighters Foundation of Houston – Supporting the Houston Fire Department, 5318 Weslayan Street Unit #504, Houston, TX 77005, supporting the Houston Fire Department or The American Cancer Society to help save lives.
