Washington County has lost a great leader. Dr. Dietrich was a wonderful man of great wisdom and common sense. He meant so much to so many. He excelled in every endeavor he undertook.

It was a delight to be Wilfred’s next door neighbor for three years. He was generous with his friendship and counsel and especially with the fruits of his garden. Wonderful man. A loss to all who knew him.

Truly a special person. He was a wonderful teacher and contributed much to Brenham. Served wherever he was needed with his time, talents and money. He has left shoes that will be impossible to fill and will be missed by many.

John and I are also docents at the Bush Library and have known Wilfred since 1999. Such a sweet nice man and will be really missed. John and I are in Maryland so will not be able to be at the service. Very sorry to have to miss it.

They were both great friends and neighbors. They would invite my son into their home on Halloween to give him his candy and want to visit. Michael Lee became an Eagle Scout and Dr. Dietrich would encourage him. They are both missed here in Brenham. Prayers to the family
